<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce music playing data for audition distributed through a network by a specified musical instrument with simple constitution when the music playing data for audition are reproduced by an electronic musical instrument and to transfer the music playing data without consuming memory resources of the electronic musical instrument side. <P>SOLUTION: Music playing data are stored in a storage device 40a of a server computer 40. The music playing data are packetized, ciphered, and stored as system exclusive data by a conversion processing program. Then a transmission processing program distributes the data as music playing data for audition to a client computer 20. The system exclusive data are transmitted in packets. The system exclusive data in packets are transmitted from the client computer 20 to the electronic musical instrument 10 one after another. The electronic musical instrument 10 deciphers the data in packets to automatically play music.
