PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device which prevents the infiltration of dust, moisture, etc., and whose accuracy of optical positioning is improved. SOLUTION: The optical transmission device is equipped with a fixing member 3 which has a plurality of recessed parts 1 and a plurality of apertures 2, a tabular light guide 5 which has a plurality of light incident/exit sections 4 inserted and positioned into the recessed parts 1 of the fixing member 3, and a connector 7 which holds optical fibers 6 as light propagation members to be inserted and positioned into the apertures 2 from the opposite side on the recessed part 1 side of the fixing member 3 in alignment to the light incident/exit sections 4 of the optical wave guide way 5, and a cover member 8 which protects the optical wave guide way 5.
