PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens hood which can be quickly and easily attached to/detached from a lens barrel. SOLUTION: The lens hood 1 is equipped with a fixed pawl 11 being a fitting pawl having a projecting part fit in a groove 21 for attaching a hood being an outer circumferential groove provided around the optical axis of the lens of a photographic lens barrel 2, projecting to an inside diameter side, having pyramid shape getting thinner toward the inside diameter side and formed so that its cross section in a circumferential direction is a diamond-shaped cross section long in the circumferential direction and a movable pawl 12 being an engaging pawl capable of holding and releasing the fitting state of the pawl 11 in the groove 21.
