PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic balance which is easy in fixing and holding of weight for calibration, during release of load. SOLUTION: The weight for calibration 4 is arranged immediately below a sample tray, a weight touching member 11, having spring properties in the vertical direction, is arranged on it and its only one end is fixed, and a stopper 20 is provided at the other end, to allow moving of the weight within an elevation limit. When the release of the load of the weight for calibration 4 to a load detection mechanism is made by rotational driving of an arm assembling 13, the weight for calibration 4 is pushed upwardly, fixed and held to contact the weight touching member 11. The occurrence of such a large displacement for distorting the weight touching member 11 by a shock is blocked by a pressing member 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
