PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device capable of decreasing wheel cylinder pressure smoothly in association with a decrease in actual master cylinder pressure in a structure capable of retaining brake hydraulic pressure in a wheel cylinder. SOLUTION: In the brake control device with a control means, an actual master cylinder pressure detecting means detecting master cylinder pressure, and an estimated master cylinder pressure computing means computing estimated master cylinder pressure are provided. The control means compares the master cylinder pressure detected by the actual master cylinder pressure detecting means and the estimated master cylinder pressure computed by the estimated master cylinder pressure computing means, and it opens a pressure reducing valve and executes forced pressure reducing control forcedly reducing the pressure in the wheel cylinder when at least a pressure intensifying valve is in a retention state, and the actual master cylinder pressure becomes smaller than the estimated master cylinder pressure.
