FLOCCULANT FOR TREATING WASTE WATER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR TREATING WASTE WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flocculant for treating waste water, which has much higher turbid substance removing performance in comparison with the conventional inorganic flocculant and by which soluble organic matter contained in the turbid substance can be flocculated/removed at the same time and to provide a method for manufacturing the flocculant and a method for treating waste water. SOLUTION: The flocculant contains a substance in which a polyvalent metal for forming a polyvalent metal ion in waste water is bonded to a molecular species consisting of a molecule or ion having an oxidizing action, so that at least a part of the turbid substance contained in the waste water or a matrix formed by the turbid substance is decomposed oxidatively and electrified and the turbid substance is flocculated while using the polyvalent metal ion as a flocculating nucleus.
