TEMPERATURE DETECTING DEVICE FOR RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detecting device for a rice cooker for correctly and highly responsively detecting the temperature of contents in a pot without receiving the influence of steam generated from the contents. SOLUTION: The device includes a bottomed case consisting of a material for absorbing an IR radiated from the contents; an IR reflection member arranged in the outer surface part of the bottomed case and having an opening for introducing the IR; a first thermosensitive element which is tightly fixed onto the inner bottom surface of the case corresponding to the opening of the IR reflection member, so as to detect a change in temperature of the bottomed case caused by IR absorption; a second thermosensitive element for temperature compensation which is arranged adjacent to the first thermosensitive element, so as to detect the temperature of the bottomed case; and a lid member for covering the opening part of the bottomed case.
