PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery case used for a lithium ion secondary battery or the like capable of preventing leakage of electrolyte liquid from a gap between the case main body and a sealing body when injecting the electrolyte liquid in the case and sealing an opening with the sealing body. SOLUTION: The battery case is provided with a bottomed cylinder-shaped case main body 20 housing electrodes impregnated with electrolyte solution L and a separator 40, and a sealing body 30 insertion-coupled with an opening 23 side of the holder main body 20 in free attachment and detachment. A locking part 21a for regulating the length of insertion of the sealing body 30 formed in protrusion toward an inner face side and a recessed part 21b formed at the opening 23 side of the locking part 21a are formed on a side wall part 21 of the holder main body 20.
