PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that expresses semantic connection information between segments of a video stream in order to efficiently browse the video stream. SOLUTION: This method decides the semantic connection information between segments in a video stream or between video streams, event intervals, scenes, shots, etc., and describes the information in the data area of contents base for the video streams. Accordingly, an efficient video browsing interface that performs efficient video browsing centering on semantics, is easily used, and which easily accesses a desired part and can browse a desired segment in a short time is provided.
