PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platelet aggregation test apparatus capable of evaluating the platelet aggregation ability easily with high sensitivity, while taking a low platelet number value of specimen into account, using the whole blood as the specimen. SOLUTION: This apparatus for measuring the platelet aggregation ability in the present invention has a measuring sample preparation means for adding a substance causing aggregation of a platelet in the whole blood specimen to prepare a measuring sample, a detecting means for detecting optical information from each particle in the measuring sample, a discrimination means for discriminating aggregation masses of the platelets, based on the detected optical information, and a counting means for counting the discriminated aggregation masses of the platelets.
