PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a correct engine rotational number in an automobile instrument 100. SOLUTION: The automobile instrument 100 is equipped with an electronic control device 10 for a meter for displaying on a display panel 20 based on rotational number data received from an electronic control device 30 for the engine through an on-vehicle LAN (local area network) 40, and a time required for starting waiting of the rotational number data is shorter than a time required for generating the rotational number data by the electronic control device 30 for the engine. The electronic control device 10 for the meter starts display of the engine rotational number by the display panel 20 based on display data received after a prescribed period after start.
