PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional inkjet printer, having a platen for suppressing fluttering or floating of a web at a printing section, keeps the position of the web deviated by being affected by the processing precision of the surface of the platen or the inclination of platen in the attaching when the web is attracted to the platen by applying a tension thereto or sucking the web on the platen. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer performs the printing on a web by ejecting ink droplets. The inkjet printer comprises the platen for supporting the web at a position opposite to an inkjet head, an edge position detecting means for detecting an edge of the web in the width direction, a correcting means for correcting the edge position of the web in the width direction according to the signal of the detecting means.
