PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treating agent capable of obtaining higher water quality improvement effect as compared with a conventional agent, and a waste water treatment method. SOLUTION: The waste water treating agent containing aluminum hydroxide and aluminum sulfate is added to the waste water and a substance in the waste water is coagulated to make aggregate, and the aggregate is removed from the waste water. Further, aluminum hydroxide and aluminum sulfate are added to the waste water and the substance in the waste water is coagulated to make the aggregate, and the aggregate is removed from the waste water.
