PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing seeds and seedlings sown in high densities for a resource-saving and as a low-cost cultivation technique specifically for enabling high-density raising seedlings prior to transplanting. SOLUTION: The method for growing seeds and seedlings sown in the high densities comprises applying calcium salt of a cyclohexane-based compound such as 3,5-dioxo-4-propionylcyclohexenecarboxylate, or ethyl=4-(cyclopropyl-α-hydroxymethylene)-3,5-dioxocyclohexanecarboxylate when raising seedlings.
