The industrial surface treatment plant has a split treatment chamber (6-8), the sections (10-13) of which have a sealed fit and which are separable for loading and unloading. Means are provided by which the chamber sections are positioned with their sealing faces lying in an alignment axis (X), by which the chamber sections are transferred into a sealed working position. The treatment chamber sections are provided with a compensating device (23) by which alignment errors (Y) of the corresponding chamber sections are compensated for in the working position.
