FIELD: television engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes generation of two fields from each sequentially reproduced source signal field, first of them being generated from odd-numbered lines of source field active part and second one, from even-numbered ones; in the process frequency of reproduced signal fields is doubled. This method is suited for use in high-definition television (HDTV) receivers of standard-frequency signals generated by PAL, SECAM, and NTSC systems. ^ EFFECT: reduced image flicker noted in receiver at progressive- or interlaced-scanning source signal. ^ 1 cl, 4 dwg |
