<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the designation of start or stop of double-side printing while understanding the state of a printer device at the side of a host distant from the printing device to designate an image to be printed on a surface of a paper. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming system comprising a printer device 2, which is equipped with a paper feeding device and a paper discharging part at multiple stages and can perform double-side printing, and a terminal device 1 at the host side, a printer driver 16 at the side of a host device 1 allows the host device 1 and the printing device 2 to function as communication means which can make two-way communications via an I/O port 15 and takes in a print setting state of the printer device 1 by the two-way communications to enable the designation of the start or completion of double-side printing of the printer device 2 distant from the host device 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
