<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is easy to see and is free from eyestrain by making it possible for a user to select a screen state suited for the use condition and a displayed image. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 is characterized by mounting a dimmer 2 on the liquid crystal display device 1 so as to cover a front face of the liquid crystal display device 1, constructing the dimmer 2 with a pair of electrodes 2-5a, 2-5b and at least two laminated layers of liquid crystal layers 2-4a, 2-4b with mutually different refractive indexes disposed between the electrodes 2-5a, 2-5b and further arranging a voltage regulator 12 to regulate voltage to be applied to the electrodes 2-5a, 2-5b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
