PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of a surface mounting type in which a connection failure occurring at a soldering part between a pin contact of the connector and a conductive pad of a printed-circuit board can be reduced even if mechanical stress such as prying is impressed on the connector. SOLUTION: In the connector of the surface mounting type, a reinforcement tab, which has a mounting face for surface-mounting the connector on the circuit board simultaneously when the connector is surface-mounted on the circuit board and has an arm with a hook hooked to the circuit board, is provided at the connector housing.
