<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish/provide a method for safely separating and removing a foreign matter component contained in polyester waste without lowering the recovery yield of an effective component. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for separating a plastic of a different kind from polyester waste based mainly on polyalkylene terephthalate and containing polyalkylene terephthalate and the plastic of the different kind, polyalkylene terephthalate is depolymerized using alkylene glycol and, after the plastic of the different kind is separated from the depolymerized matter, the separated plastic of the different kind is washed with hot water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
