SEPARATING AGENT FOR OPTICAL ISOMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new separating agent for an optical isomer which has a high capacity of identifying asymmetry of a compound to be analyzed and aliquoted. SOLUTION: In a polysaccharide derivative, each hydrogen atom of a hydroxyl group of a polysaccharide having an amino group or of the amino group is replaced with a functional group for reacting to the hydroxyl group or the amino group. The separating agent for the optical isomer contains the polysaccharide derivative having the average introduction number of the functional group of≥3.0 in each monosaccharide unit.
