FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for always properly correcting a curl generated practically at a size different depending on the kind of a transfer material and on target glossiness, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the fixing device. SOLUTION: In the fixing device and the image forming apparatus provided with the fixing device, a feed speed control mechanism for controlling the size of a linear speed of a pair of pressure contacting rollers in response to the kind of the transfer material or the size of the target glossiness in a transfer material feed mechanism in a smaller range than a feed speed of the transfer material, and a guide mechanism for guiding the transfer material in a direction being a curved state of a reverse direction to the direction of curvature of the curl generated on the transfer material by a fixing mechanism are provided.
