PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of simply and accurately conducting color balancing correction without imposing a burden on a user or increasing cost. SOLUTION: A plurality of moving target positions of the L* axis on a L*a*b* color space in color balancing correction are established such that a distribution density of moving target positions may become high in a direction (a* axis direction and b* axis direction) requiring fine adjustment in color balancing (refer to (B)). Color transformation parameters are determined such that color balancing correction corresponding to movement of the L* axis substantially in parallel to the moving target positions on the L*a*b* color space is conducted. Each of color transformation parameters is set for each moving target position and memorized in an HDD. If color balancing correction for a color image data is instructed, color transformation parameters corresponding to the instructed color balancing correction are read and set in DLUT, and color balancing correction is conducted by inputting color image data to be processed into DLUT sequentially.
