PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide driving electrolyte of aluminum electrolytic capacitor in which withstand voltage can be enhanced while suppressing increase in resistivity. SOLUTION: An organic carboxylic acid, e.g. azelaic acid, sebacic acid, 1,6-decane dicarboxylic acid, 5,6-decane dicarboxylic acid, 7-vinyl hexadecyne-1, 16-dicarboxylic acid, or its salt, boric acid or its ammonium salt, and 0.1-10.0 wt% of phenanthrene quinon shown by chemical formula are dissolved into solvent principally comprising ethylene glycol to produce driving electrolyte.
