PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of a liquid crystal display panel capable of appropriately inspecting disconnection and a leak of a display electrode or disconnection or the like of a transfer part while effectively corresponding to a pitch which is made minute and reducing cost and to provide an inspection device used for the method. SOLUTION: The state of a selected electrode 8 or the transfer part 10 connected to the selected electrode 8 is inspected based on the lighting state of the liquid crystal display panel 1 by disposing an electrode substrate 16 on the outer side of the liquid crystal display panel 1, applying an inspection signal between the electrode substrate 16 and the selected electrode 8 selected from a plurality of display electrodes owned by the liquid crystal display panel 1 and generating potential difference between the selected electrode 8 and an electrode 7 opposed to the selected electrode 8 via a liquid crystal through capacity coupling.
