PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens exchangeable single lens reflex camera which permits the photographing from the infinity without using a rear conversion lens and permits even the AF photographing when an exchange lens for range finder-coupled camera with a short flange back dimension is mounted. SOLUTION: The camera comprises an image pickup element which photoelectrically converts a luminous flux passing through a photographing lens, an image pickup element moving mechanism for moving the image pickup element in the optical axis direction of the photographing lens and a reflective member which can be moved to a first position and a second position, wherein the first position is located between the photographing lens and the image pickup element and guides the luminous flux passing through the photographing lens to a finder part and the second position is withdrawn outside the photographing luminous flux. Further in the camera, in the state that the reflective member is withdrawn into the second position, the image pickup element is moved in the optical axis direction of the photographing lens by the image pickup element moving mechanism.
