PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of displaying a laterally long image and a longitudinally long image to nearly the same size. SOLUTION: A display part 20, which has an image display area 201 which is formed into a square, displays an image in an image display area 201 by enlarging or reducing the image side of image data to a size within the size of the image display area 201 by an image data processing part 102 while maintaining the aspect ratio of the image data inputted from a secondary storage part 40.
