PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste drying method capable of efficiently and uniformly drying waste and capable of reducing drying cost and drying time. SOLUTION: The drying method comprises the steps of heating the waste in heating kilns 21A and 21B by halogen heaters and ventilating air in the kilns 21A and 21B by a ventilation fan 42 to dry the waste. In the process of drying the waste, the halogen heaters and the ventilation fan 42 are controlled by a control unit so as to keep a constant-temperature drying period showing a specific water content reducing tendency of the waste.
