PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate wind roar generated by connection leads for connecting a discharge electrode to a transformer by allowing the arrangement structure of an ion generator to be suitable inside the main body case of a blower. SOLUTION: The main body case 1 incorporates a fan 7; a motor 8 for driving the fan; a heater 9 for heating air; and the ion generator. The ion generator is composed of a discharge current adjustment unit 24 and a discharge unit 25, both of which are adjacently arranged at the center part of a heat holder 18. The discharge unit 25 includes a vessel shape electrode holder 32; the discharge electrode 33; and a counter electrode 34. The blower has the connection leads 36, 37 for connecting the discharge current adjustment unit 24 to the discharge unit 25. The electrode holder 32 covers the outer surfaces of the connection leads 36, 37, so that the leads 36, 37 are prevented from being brought into contact with an air stream. The electrode holder 32 is provided with a forward-tapered cover 40 and an electrode support body 41. The outer surfaces of the connection leads 36, 37 are covered by a cover 40.
