FIELD: manual electric arc welding, for example of steel parts. ^ SUBSTANCE: electrode includes metallic rod and two-layer coating. One layer of coating contains slag-forming and gas-generating components. Other layer contains activating components promoting contraction of welding arc. Layer of activating components may be applied onto surface of rod or onto surface of layer of slag- and gas- generating components. Layer of activating components may be applied in the form of powder mixture with binder on base of polymer or aluminum. Or said layer may be applied in the form of belt wound onto surface and including one or several activating components or in the form of several belts of different activating components. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of manual arc welding process. ^ 10 cl, 2 dwg |
