<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner replenishing device in which toner in a toner container in a volume reduction type toner transport device is not deposited on the side surface of the container and smoothly falls even when the residual quantity of the toner in the container is reduced, accordingly the residual toner quantity is made as close to zero as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The toner replenishing device is provided with: a soft type toner storing container 20; a sucking means to transport the toner inside the toner storing container 20 by negative pressure to a prescribed place; and an approximately sealed toner transport path, wherein the volume of the toner storing container is reduced when the toner is sucked. In the toner replenishing device, a valve 111 is provided for causing air to flow into the toner transport path from outside the transport path, and the valve 111 is positioned above the toner transport path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
