<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip device for an endoscope, capable of securely clipping by a simple structure and releasing the connected state of an operation wire and a clip after that by an extremely simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the device, a grip forceps piece 23 to be opened/closed like a bill by the remote control from a hand side of a flexible sheath 1 to be engaged with the rear end of the clip 11 is disposed inside the tip of the flexible sheath 1 so that it can be moved forward/backward in the axial direction by the operation from the hand side of the flexible sheath 1. The clip 11 is closed by a clip closing member 12 as the grip forceps piece 23 is drawn in the closed state from the hand side of the flexible sheath 1, and the state of the clip is maintained.
