METHOD FOR DECIDING SHAPE OF SHIFT ROLL FOR PLATE ROLLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deciding method of the shape of a shift roll for plate rolling by an objective procedure without trial and error by taking the numerical distribution of production volume of every plate width into consideration.

SOLUTION: This method has a first step for determining where the distributionαi of the controlled variable of the necessary sheet crown for every plate width is determined on the basis of the production volume distribution of every plate width in rolling equipment, a second step for giving the maximum radius difference yA0of a rugged shift roll, a third step for temporarily determining a distribution line yiin the width direction of the outside diameter of the roll fromαi and yA0, a fourth step for determining the distributionΔyBiin the width direction of the variation of a roll gap under the maximum shift quantity and a fifth step for rounding the rapidly varying part of the distributionΔyBiin the width direction of the variation of the roll gap.
