PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and method in which communications can be connected without wasting the resources of a communication network when connecting a call via the communication network. SOLUTION: A connection request terminal 1 transmits a connection request to a previous notice server 3 via a connection request processing network, the previous notice server 3 transmits the attribute information of a caller and a previous notice of call connection to a connection accept terminal 2 via the connection request processing network on the basis of the connection request, and the previous notice server 3 receives call connection possibility information from the connection accept terminal 2 via the connection request processing network in response to the previous notice. The previous notice server 3 then instructs the call connection to a call connection processing server 4.
