PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the degree of coupling is deteriorated on the low and high frequency sides in a conventional cross directional coupler if wide band property is further widened because the degree or coupling cannot be adjusted although has small frequency dependence of the degree of coupling and superior directivity. SOLUTION: A waveguide 1 and a waveguide 2 orthogonally joined using an H surface of one side as a common surface, and at least one coupling hole 4 is provided near the diagonal line of a square formed by the joining surface 3 of the waveguide 1 and the waveguide 2. A screw 5 is provided in parallel with the joining surface 3 from E-surface of the waveguide 1 or the waveguide 2 on the center axis of the coupling hole 4 of the joining surface 3 or in the coupling hole 4 on the joining surface, so that the insertion length can be adjusted.
