摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out alignment treatment with voltage application for a number of panels at a time with a simple method and to provide a device necessary for the alignment treatment with voltage application with a small size and at low cost. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the panel is at least provided with a step to mount a plurality of the panels on a sheet of mother print substrate (including a flexible printed circuit substrate), a step to heat a ferroelectric liquid crystal to a transition temperature to an isotropic phase or above, a step to apply a voltage between mutually opposing electrodes of a plurality of the panels and to slowly cool them until the ferroelectric liquid crystal phase changes to the chiral smectic C phase and a step to divide the mother print substrate into the individual panels. The device for alignment treatment of the panel with voltage application is at least provided with a connector to fix the mother print substrate, having a plurality of the panels mounted thereon and an external connection terminal for alignment treatment with voltage application on an end thereof, a magazine to fix the connector, a heating vessel to contain the magazine and a power source to be connected to the connector.
