PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation supporting method and a base isolation auxiliary tool for a building capable of alleviating shocks of earthquakes and typhoons and absorbing large vibrations. SOLUTION: A base isolation supporting tool C made of a rubber, a synthetic resin, a metal, or a composite material of a synthetic resin and a metal is put between a concrete foundation A and a wooden or metallic sill B at every appropriate pitch, and air is ventilated between the base isolation tool and the base support in this cat sill or foundation packing method. When fixing the foundation part and the sill part by the anchor bolts D vertically embedded in the foundation part, by interposing an elastically deformable base isolation tool such as spring or rubber, etc. put between two sheets of washers or the like in nuts and sill, the base isolation support tool put in between the foundation and the sill can freely deform to absorb vibration.
