PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device for maintaining the durability of a shutter curtain so as to be usable over a long period of time by detecting the lateral dislocation of a slat and the lateral dislocation of the whole shutter curtain in an initial stage. SOLUTION: This shutter device comprises a winding shaft 8 for winding the shutter curtain 2, and a driving device 10 for rotationally driving the winding shaft 8, inside a case 6. Lateral dislocation detecting sensors 12b are disposed in positions close to the right and left end parts of the shutter curtain 2 wound on the winding shaft 8. The lateral dislocation detecting sensor 12b is provided with a movable arm moving in a prescribed direction by contacting the laterally dislocated position of the slat or the laterally dislocated position of the whole shutter curtain, and a displacement sensor or the like for detecting the movement of the movable arm.
