PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition that exhibits excellent cohesion or adhesion to various materials, has excellent initial cohesive force, time-lapse cohesion, high-temperature strength, strength at wet heating, etc., provide excellent workability, and does not bring about hazard of fire and undesirable effects towards human bodies and the environment. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition comprises a polychloroprene latex having a carboxy group or a hydroxy group in a molecule, an adhesive property providing agent, a metal acetylacetonate, and an inorganic filler. The composition is obtained by blending 100 prts.wt. of the polychloroprene latex with 5-200 prts.wt. of the adhesive property providing agent, 0.05-10 prts.wt. of the metal acetylacetonate, and 5-200 prts.wt. of the inorganic filler, all based on the solid components.
