METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC POLYMER GEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively producing an organic polymer gel in which meso pores and micropores are developed and a residual carbon ratio in carbonization treatment is high. SOLUTION: The method for producing the organic polymer gel comprises a gelling step for synthesizing an organic hydroxy gel by polymerizing a phenol compound with an aldehyde compound by a sol-gel method in a water solvent and a drying step for drying the organic hydroxy gel by a drying method in a low volume-changing ratio. The water solvent is preferably used in an amount of 10-60 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. total amount of the phenol compound and the aldehyde compound in the gelling step.
