FIELD: polymer production. ^ SUBSTANCE: perchlorovinyl resin, appropriate for manufacture of heat and chemically resistant varnishes, enamels, paints, glues, and connection parts of pipes resistant to corrosive media, is obtained by treating polyvinylchloride dissolved in (1-0):(0-1) dichloroethane/trichloroethane mixture with gaseous chlorine in presence of initiator, namely 1% solution of diacetylperoxide carbonate in dichloroethane. Process is carried out for 4.5 h consuming hourly 60-90 m3 gaseous chlorine. Product with stabilized chlorine content (62-64%) is characterized by higher solubility: 99.9% vs. 99.7%. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of product, reduced chlorination process time, and lowered chlorine consumption. ^ 1 tbl |
