DECODER AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the incompatibility in an image after error concealment by avoiding an error of an image of a greater motion from being concealed by the preceding image whose correlation is possibly low.

SOLUTION: The decoder provided with a decoding means for decoding and outputting the encoded data subjected to predictive encoding is characterized in to include following means, that is: a motion vector magnitude discrimination means for deciding whether error concealment processing is carried out by referencing a preceding image or based on a decoded DC value on the basis of whether the magnitude of a motion vector decoded from the encoded data from which an error is detected or an interpolation vector equivalent to the motion vector is within a prescribed range being a reference value when the error is detected during decoding of the decoding means; and an image configuration means for configuring an original image on the basis of decoded data when the decoding is normally operated by the decoding means or configuring an image of a part on the basis of a concealment processing method notified from the motion vector magnitude discrimination means when the error is detected during decoding by the decoding means.
