摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which is resistant to rise in temperature therewithin by promoting radiating heat transfer from the inside to the outside thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 incorporates a sensor element 2 which measures the concentration of a specific gas in a gas to be measured. The outer surface 100 of the gas sensor 1 has an atmosphere surface 102 which is exposed to the atmosphere and a gas to be measured surface 101 which is exposed to the gas to be measured. The radiation rate of at least a part of the atmosphere surface 102 is not lower than 0.7. Or, the radiation rate of at least a part of an atmosphere side inner surface 103, which is the inner surface of the gas sensor 1 and the inside of the atmosphere surface 102, is not lower than 0.7.
