<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a planographic printing plate, which is directly made by infrared laser scanning, and has good on-machine developability and printing resistance, and also to provide a planographic printing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the original plate for the planographic printing plate, an image recording layer, which contains an infrared ray absorbent (A), an initiator (B) and a polymerizable compound (C) and is removed by using printing ink and/or dampening water, is provided on an aluminum substrate subjected to alkaline silicate treatment; and the amount of adhesion of an Si element to a surface of the aluminum substrate in the alkaline silicate treatment is in a range of ≥1 mg/m<SP>2</SP>and <10 mg/m<SP>2</SP>. In the planographic printing plate, printing ink and dampening water are supplied to the original plate for the planographic printing plate, so that a part, which is not exposed to an infrared laser, of the image recording layer is removed for printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
