<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of setting an USB operation class after being connected an external device by a USB cable. <P>SOLUTION: This camera is a camera 1 to which an external device such as a printer 2 is connected via the USB cable 9 to perform the optimum processing corresponding to this connected external device. The camera 1 is provided with a CPU for controlling the camera 1 to determine that the external device is connected to the digital camera 1, to select any one of USB communication procedures in response to an output of the external device, and to communicate with the external device in conformity with the selected USB procedure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
