摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling structure for an optical waveguide and an optical device in which the optical waveguide and the optical device are aligned more precisely than a conventional structure. SOLUTION: The connection structure comprises: a first substrate 100; the optical waveguide 111 formed on the first substrate to transmit an optical signal; optical alignment dummy waveguides 112a and 112b symmetrically aligned on the first substrate about the optical waveguide; a second substrate 200 bonded to the first substrate; optical device 210, 220 and 230 mounted on the bottom surface of the second substrate and optically connected to the optical waveguide 111; and optical alignment patterns 260a and 260b formed at the bottom surface of the second substrate corresponding to the optical alighment dummy waveguides. Wherein the optical alignment for the optical waveguide and the optical device is achieved by aligning the optical alignment dummy waveguide with the optical-alignment patterns.
