METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLING AXLE BOX OF MAIN SHAFT OF PANTOGRAPH FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for assembling the axle box of the main shaft of a pantograph for a vehicle in which a seal member can be set in normal state without requiring any skill. SOLUTION: The collector head 1 of a pantograph is supported by supporting members 2 and 3 connected with a main shaft 4 and axle boxes 15 internally provided with a bearing 11 and sealed by a seal member 12 are provided at the opposite ends of the main shaft 4. When the axle box 15 is attached to the main shaft 4, an air hose 26 is connected with a grease supply port 15c provided in the axle box 15 and compressed air is supplied.
