PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously view/listen to a plurality of videos and audios, which have different contents. SOLUTION: A signal processor 4 reads respective data streams recorded in a plurality of DVD 2, and they are separated into main video data, auxiliary video data and sound data by a demultiplexer 6. Separated main video data are outputted to video buffers 71 to 7n. One piece of auxiliary video data in every channel is selected and they are outputted to sub-picture buffers 81 to 8n. One piece of sound data at every channel is selected and they are outputted to audio buffers 91 to 9n. Data are outputted to corresponding video decoders 101 to 10n, sub-picture decoders 111 to 11n and audio decoders 121 to 12n and are decoded. Decoded main video data and auxiliary video data are synthesized into one picture signal.
