PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver which can hold antenna return loss to not more than a prescribed value by supplying power to a tuner at the time of standby. SOLUTION: The television receiver is provided with a power source circuit supplying power at the time of standby, a microcomputer to which power is supplied from the power source circuit at the time of standby, the tuner to which an antenna is connected and which receives a signal, and a function supplying power to the tuner from the power source circuit at the time of standby and suppressing antenna return loss to not more than the prescribed value.
