ACTIVE TARGET DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect detailed distance/velocity with respect to each target by transmitting a radar wave to receive a return signal from the object and to reduce wasteful consumption of electric power in the target. SOLUTION: A controller 101 outputs a packet data PD containing station ID information specifying the active target device of the target. A modulation circuit 105 transmits the data by putting on the radar wave from an oscillator 104. The active target device activates return transmission in the case of receiving the station ID information of the self-station. A mixer 108 detects a beat signal during operation of radar functions by mixing a part of the transmission radar wave and the returned transmission radar wave. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
